When Saotome, an ex-boyfriend of Moto's friend, mysteriously disappears, the whispers of Boogiepop begin to circulate. Moto doesn't give the rumors much thought... until she catches a glimpse of Saotome's ghost. Moto is now determined to find him once and confess her feelings. But is it really him?
Boogiepop Phantom is based on Kouhei Kadono light novels of the same name and features animation by Studio Madhouse (Redline, Death Note, Batman: Gotham Knight), with direction by Takashi Watanabe (Slayers, Shakugan no Shana, Ikki Tousen, Lost Universe) and series concept by Sadayuki Murai (Millennium Actress, Kino’s Journey, Perfect Blue).
